'Attending Kate's classes has been transformational for me, physically, mentally and spiritually. She is an inspirational and creative teacher of Iyengar yoga, the philosophy of which Kate explains with ease and clarity. Sessions with Kate are always engaging, encouraging and enlightening. She gently guides her students about the principles of subtle alignment and stability through the practice of asanas, while maintaining clear focus on awareness of breath. Intensity of practice is balanced by a final Savasana and I always leave Kate's classes feeling much better for having been there. Her highly honed skills and astute observation enable her to meet the differing needs of a range of students, from complete beginner to advanced practitioner. 'My journey to a fitter and healthier life started with Kate three years ago. After my first baby my body was much bigger and I found it very hard to do any exercise. Kate was then my personal trainer and I saw results within a few month, just before my holidays I had lost 5 kilo. I no longer PT with Kate but continued to attend her classes, I have attended her weekly Iyengar Yoga for beginners classes for the past two years. She also introduced me to Ayurveda, and I now follow a healthy Ayurvedic diet and herbal supplements. The result is I lost three stone, became more active and healthy, my body looks toned and much more flexible. This year I am continuing in Kate’s level 2 Iyengar yoga class. 'I’ve done quite a bit of yoga and I can honestly say Kate is one of the best teachers I’ve met. She has a lovely, warm, down-to-earth manner which builds confidence and makes the classes fun. She’s great at putting together varied sessions which link poses in interesting ways. ‘I’m finding the online classes really valuable, I did class 1 for the fourth time this morning and have realised how absolutely worthwhile it is to repeat the exact same class a few times! I learned a lot about warrior 1, tree pose and the detail about hand position in a sitting twist (and much more) - all postures I thought I knew reasonably well 😊. She has an inclusive, friendly and supportive approach to help people new to yoga but also to stretch those who are more experienced (excuse the pun!). 'I started doing yoga approximately 2 years ago following a serious injury to my spine. Kate has been inspirational in helping me to mobilise. She is a kind and considerate teacher who pushes you (if you want to be pushed) but also supports and nurtures. 'I have enjoyed Kate's classes for approximately 3 years. I have tried a number of different types of Yoga over the years and find that Kate's classes are set at the right pace for me, they help me to stretch, strengthen, improve but also unwind. Kate is a friendly easy-going teacher, who will help correct technique without you feeling embarrassed.
